A 21-year-old Mullingar man has been banned from all licensed premises in this district.
Enda Devanney of Rathconnell, Mullingar was arrested at 2.55am on September 15 this year following an incident where he was yelling and jostling in a group of disorderly people on Dominick Street.
He ran towards gardaí in a threatening manner and shouted “f**k you”.
Mr John Quinn said his client, who is now rarely in Mullingar because he works in Carlow, was intoxicated on the night and that it was his friends who had drawn the attention of gardaí.
Judge Neilan fined Mr Devanney €800 for threatening behaviour and a charge of public intoxication was taken into consideration.
