Successful event for Project Integrate

Project Integrate held its second annual Cultural Celebration on Monday December 15 in the Annebrook House Hotel. Some 400 people attended the event, enjoying dancing and music which ranged from Comhaltas to Kurdish.

According to Irene Hislop, PRO Project Hislop, “[Everyone was] dancing and enjoying music that ranged from Comhaltas to Kurdish. Dance was the highlight with the Siege of Ennis, a belly dance performance, salsa dance demonstration, and the grand finale, a traditional Kurdish dance that had everyone on their feet.”

“Benedicta Attoh, chairperson of the Africa Centre in Dublin, was the guest speaker and all the members of Project Integrate are thrilled that our event lived up to her words about integration being part of how we live together rather than a government policy.”
