The Labour party’s local election candidates for the Mullingar area have been announced.
The candidates for Westmeath County Council for Mullingar East are Mick Dollard and Denis Leonard, while the candidates for Mullingar West are Johnny Penrose and Detty Cornally.
Meanwhile Pat Collins, Tony Irwin, Detty Cornally, and Mick Dollard were chosen as the candidates for Mullingar Town Council.
The candidates were announced at a recent party meeting held in the Newbury Hotel, Mullingar, which was attended by almost 50 party members, including special guests Deputy Willie Penrose and Deputy Jack Wall.
