The Story of the Beatles comes to the Dean Crowe Theatre

Creating Shows presents Get Back - The Story of the Beatles in the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone on May 17.

This isn’t just some old Beatles tribute act, this production will travel back in time to tell audiences about the story of the Beatles. This production is the the only tribute act to have performed with Beatles producer Sir George Martin and his 70-piece orchestra for three sell-out performances at the National Concert Hall in Dublin and in London for an MTV special.

From the suited and booted boys of rock and roll to the psychedelic advocates of peace and love, the phenomenal success of the group as told in this devised tribute to the Fab Four resurrects a rare glimpse of an era that would become known as Beatlemania.

Cast members Scott Maher, Fran King, Rob McKinney, and Binzer Brennan all effortlessly embody the personas of The Beatles in four incredibly fluid and natural performances. All consummate musicians themselves, the performers musicianship and vocal authenticity are nothing short of astonishing.

Clever and superbly subtle scene changes and an excellent supporting cast take you through those crucial moments in The Beatles’ musical journey from 1963 to 1970 and immerse the audience in the music that would change the face of popular culture.

Get Back - The Story Of The Beatles brings all the joys of Beatledom to a whole new generation and allows first generation fans to relive the music that changed our lives forever.
