Karma scoops prestigious industry award

Karma Niteclub Athlone has just been awarded the NightSafe award, by the Irish Nightclub Industry Association ( INIA ) for achieving industry best practice.

The NightSafe award was made following a comprehensive audit of the venue which examines the nightclub in key operational areas of fire safety, risk management, security management, noise control, crowd control, and responsible serving of alcohol.

Louise Cunningham gladly accepted the award on behalf of her team at Karma and commented, “We are delighted to receive the award. Most people are probably unaware of the amount of work that we have to put into making our customers’ nights out, not only fun, but also safe. We are happy to receive this recognition of our hard work.”

Barry O’Sullivan, chief executive of the INIA commented, “Using NightSafe as a benchmarking tool, against 50 best practice criteria, we can say with certainty that Karma is a very well run nightclub. Karma is the seventh nightclub in the country to receive the NightSafe award, it is up there with the best nightclubs in the country.”
