Calling all model train lovers

Are you a train spotter? Have you an interest in railways, particularly of the model variety?

Roscommon Leo Club is putting together a major exhibition of railway toy trains for the enjoyment of the young - and not so young - this Christmas holiday season.

They hope to assemble several large model sets, ranging from Hornby all the way to the modern day exploits of Thomas the Tank Engine, at a central venue in Roscommon in early December, and are now appealing for your help.

The club are looking for toy train sets of all generations in reasonable working order for use in the exhibition, which will be supervised at all times. They would ask you to bring along your own sets which will produce a truly memorable working exhibition of toy trains for the benefit and enjoyment of the audience.

The exhibition will be free of charge but donations will be accepted throughout its duration for the Leo club and local charities, so please help if you can.

For more information and to volunteer your involvement please email [email protected], or contact president of Roscommon Leo Club Aaron Curley at [email protected] or contact any member of the Lions club.
