The Athlone Architectural and Heritage Group will be launching their first ever calendar next week.
The calendar contains a selection of full colour photographs of local scenic spots, vistas, and buildings. Dates of historical events throughout the years and a wealth of local information connected to the heritage of the area will also be included on the calendar.
It is hoped that the calendar will make a much welcomed gift from home for those who have moved abroad or a reference point for students doing projects on local history, or simply a nice local calendar to hang on your office or kitchen wall!
The calendar will be launched on Thursday October 25 in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel at 7.30pm. It will be available on the night for €10 and comes with an envelope for posting.
The committee of the Athlone Architectural and Heritage Group wish to thank everyone who sponsored them for this project or helped in any way.
Everyone is welcome to the launch and refreshments will be served
