In preparation for The Gathering 2013, Mullingar Chamber is appealing for the names, email addresses, or contact details of anyone from Mullingar, and the surrounding areas, who has done well for themselves, having left the area to seek fame and fortune outside the county or country.
Mullingar Chamber would be interested in contacting these people, in order to find out if they would like to take part in the programme of events planned for The Gathering 2013.
The Gathering 2013 is about the people of Ireland opening their arms and inviting anyone with a connection to our country to come and visit. The idea is to ask anyone who has Irish blood, a link to Ireland, or even just a love of the country to attend a series of amazing and diverse events throughout 2013. These will range from clan gatherings, where people discover their roots, to rugby clubs inviting foreign teams to their sevens tournament, and groups of international business colleagues holding conferences in Ireland.
The last Mullingar gathering took place during the St Patrick’s Day Parade and this time, hopes are for an even greater success.
