The Athlone Show’s waltzing final will be taking place this Saturday night June 16 in The Well, Moate.
Heats for the 2012 waltzing competition were held across the country from over 12 counties in Ireland from approximately 30 venues. There is expected to be a huge turnout on the night of the final.
Pat Carty, waltzing committee chairman, said there is approximately 120 couples contesting the final on Saturday night and that the standard of waltzing is exceptionally high this year.
There are fantastic prizes available on the night. Westmeath Rose of Tralee contestant Aisling Baker from Tubberclair will be presenting the various prizes on the night.
