Sheltered in a scenic valley in north Westmeath, lies Fore Village, famous for its ‘Seven Wonders’ and also for its motorcycle races which attracted thousands of enthusiasts to the area many years ago.
This Saturday June 2, the village will once again come alive with people descending on it in their droves to take part in a 5km race which uses most of the original track for the motorcycles.
The run is been organised by a local GAA club and they are expecting a very large number on the day. Online registration is open at www.precisiontiming.net or www.runireland.com Registration will also be taken on the day from 10am until 11.30am sharp in the village.
Participants are asked to arrive in lots of time as car parking is limited and a park and ride system may be used. This is an AAI approved event and it promises to be one of the best of the year.
Refreshments will be served afterwards and the usual prize categories will be awarded.
