Delorentos confirmed for Helium Main Stage

The Helium Micro Music Festival crew are delighted to announce that Delorentos have been added to the festival’s main stage line-up for 2012. The Dublin-based band will play the Helium Main Stage just before bill toppers Ash and their blend of critically acclaimed alternative rock is sure to set the scene perfectly before the last act of the night.

Main Stage acts: Aah, Delorentos, Duke Special, Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee and The Clinic; The Kanyu Tree; Peter Doran Band.

Second Stage acts: DJ Tivo, Jape, Saint John the Gambler, Chewing on Tin Foil, Of Fiction, and more.

Another Main Stage act has been added to the bill. Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee and The Clinic will be wowing the crowd with an amazing fusion of hip hop, dubstep, and drum and bass beats using his dynamic trademark “fluteboxing”- simultaneously playing the flute whilst beat boxing.

Of course, Northern Ireland rockers Ash are topping off the bill for Helium 2012 on June 9 - with the group performing one of their only Irish gigs of the summer in Ballymahon. With a career spanning 20 years, and 18 top 40 hits, Irish rock group Ash have lost none of their energy.

In addition to Ash and Delorentos, the Helium Main Stage will also play host to Duke Special. Duke is a fervent performer who harks back to a pre-rock ’n’ roll era, with dashes of Gershwin and orchestral swing, all tinged with a Northern Irish lilt - the perfect balance of old and new - boasting the appeal of a three-minute pop song with the incessant charm of an old-school music hall.

In addition, sibling Irish pop trio The Kanyu Tree will bring a fresh and familiar sound to the Helium Main Stage - after the success of their singles ‘Radio’ and ‘Shelf Life’ revellers will get to enjoy some perfect pop upon their performance on June 9.

And Helium Festival favourite Irish folk pop singer Peter Doran also makes a welcome return to the main stage this year, occupying the opening slot of the day.
