Local group to host talk on awareness of dyspraxia

The Midlands Dyspraxia Support Group, in association with Dyspraxia Ireland, have a number of events coming up, for which they would appreciate your support.

The group will host a talk on awareness of dyspraxia and strategies to deal with it next Thursday February 23 at 8pm in the Annebrook House Hotel Mullingar. Speakers include three occupational therapists, a clinical psychologist, a speech and language therapist, and a continence nurse. The door donation is only €5 and all the speakers will be available to answer questions after the talk.

A table quiz has been planned for Thursday March 8 to raise funds for the organisation. A table of four is only €20. The money raised will go towards activities for children with dyspraxia, inlcluding horse-riding, beauty and grooming workshop, handwriting workshop, and more.

The Midlands Dyspraxia Support Group is also hosting a Smart Moves seminar on Saturday March 10, which is a PE-based approach to assisting children with gross motor skill difficulties and includes a fine motor/ handwriting workshop.
