To celebrate a new pantomime coming to Mullingar Arts Centre the centre are giving away a VIP family pass to come and see what promises to be the best panto in the Arts Centre to date.

This year’s pantomime will see the immortal story of Alice in Wonderland. It will feature Alice, Mad Hatter, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Cheshire Cat, the March Hare, the White Rabbit, the Evil Queen of Hearts, and a host of other characters.

The group at Mullingar Arts Centre have put a twist on the story. The tale is set 10 years after Alice’s first visit to Wonderland. With a host of well known songs, colourful costumes, and a few new spectacular stage effects the show promises to further exceed the standard of previous productions.

Mullingar Arts Centre officially opened its doors in November 1998; since then it has gone from strength to strength and is now a focal point for arts in the Midlands. The Arts Centre provides workshops in art, music, dance and ballet, crafts, and drama for adults and children. It takes an innovative approach to educating children in the area of the arts.

The centre also has an Arts Education Programme which covers all areas of the arts including music, art, dance, photography, literature and drama. It also covers technical aspects of theatre, including sound, lighting, and stage management. All of these modules are provided by professionals in each area.
