The Three Amigos to take on the world

What started out as a desire to work with each other for a once-off show has now become the talk of the country.

The Three Amigos is the hottest act in town. Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell, and Patrick Feeney have succeeded in making country music cool and the guys continue to enjoy a massive, positive reaction whereever they go.

The Amigos are the envy of the music industry. Their live shows continue to sell out, their record sales are among the highest in the country, and the word is spreading.

In 2012 they tour Australia and New Zealand following their record deal with Sony, Australia and by the end of 2013 American and UK audiences will get the chance to see what all the fuss is about.

“We are in this business long enough to know that this is only the beginning of what we hope will be a fantastic journey for all three of us,” stated Jimmy Buckley. His fellow Amigo, Robert Mizzell, smiles as he outlines the course the band has taken.

“We all knew each other from touring around Ireland with our dance bands.

“We would meet in 24-hour service stations as we made our way home from the gigs and it gave us the chance to talk and share stories. Over time we realised that we had a great respect for each other. Our musical tastes were similar and if we could find the time a collaboration was on the cards!”

Patrick Feeney confirmed that it took well over two years for the dream to be realised, “But it was worth the wait. We hit it off instantly and the show made an immediate connection with the audiences.”

All three admit that The Amigos has taken country music to a new level. Already they have appeared on The Late, Late Show twice. In fact, this year alone they not only called in to see Ryan Tubridy but they took in Saturday Night with Miriam, and Up for the Match and made regular visits to the Ireland AM studios at TV3.

The boys will reunite again in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on Wednesday November 23. For more information call (090 ) 6442000.
