Judge Seamus Hughes has congratulated two women on their success in sending their children to school.
Both had been prosecuted with their husbands for failing to send the children to primary and secondary school.
One mother of five has ensured her daughter has missed only one day in primary school and the child is doing well and is happy.
“Congratulations,” he said. “Her education will assist her in life.”
The court heard the mother is proud of her daughter.
Another mother of four was also congratulated and advised to keep up the good work with her daughter in secondary school who is also happy and doing well.
She has had 100 per cent attendance since the case came before the court.
Both cases were struck out by the judge, with liberty for the NEWB to re-enter them if further problems develop.
