The Coosan Point charity swim will be held on Tuesday June 7 at 7pm. There will be four categories: 200m, 750m, 1,500m, and 3,000m. All entrants will get a number and time from it. The swim is just over three weeks before the TriAthlone and so would be a great opportunity for anyone training for the triathlon on July 2. Wetsuits are mandatory.
Sponsorship cards are available from David at Athlone Regional Sports Centre or people can give a donation on the night. All monies raised will be donated to The South Westmeath Hospice and the Irish Cancer Society. Last year 128 people attended and €3,650 was raised. Tea and sandwiches will be served after the event.
Registration is open from 5pm-6.30pm, safety briefing is at 6.45pm, the swim starts at 7pm sharp.
