The national Tidy Towns competition is an annual competition organised by the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government with the support of the main sponsor SuperValu and many other agencies. The competition involves an inspection of Mullingar town during the months of June and July. The results will be announced at a national ceremony in September.
Further details will be announced in the coming weeks regarding initiatives that will be launched to increase the town’s rating in the competition such as best shop front competition, tidy estate competition, litter patrols, and general clean up Mullingar events.
The trojan work of the Tidy Towns committee is supported by Mullingar Chamber of Commerce and Westmeath County Council.
