A dog walk in aid of The Carers Association will take place this Monday, April 25 to raise funds for family carers.
Families and dog owners are invited to get involved with their dogs to support family carers.
The 5km walk has been organised in association with Petmania and will start at the store which is located in Fernhill Garden Centre, Ballymahon Road, Athlone at 2pm.
The National Dog Walk 2011 promises a fantastic, fun day out for the whole family and their dogs and a chance to walk off those Easter eggs while raising funds for a great cause. A host of excellent prizes are on offer, with the dog that raises the most money at the Athlone walk receiving one year’s supply of dog food from the National Dog Walk’s official nutrition partner, Royal Canin, valued at up to €1,500. Not only that, but the dog that raises the most money nationally will be able to whisk his or her family away for a fabulous five-night holiday, worth over €1,500, in the luxurious Harvey’s Point Hotel in Lough Eske, Co Donegal!
