Budding Mullingar artist Katie Cribbon has scooped the prize in the first ever Hibernian Health art challenge. The Hibernian branch on Dominick Street, Mullingar, recently held the art challenge, which was open to all Westmeath children aged between five and 12 years.
The Hibernian Health Challenge was to draw a butterfly, of any colour, shape or style. Five-year-old Katie Cribbon from Greatdown, The Downs, Mullingar submitted the most creative entry from hundreds of entries received and won the grand prize: a fantastic new bicycle.
Sharon Leavy, manager of the Hibernian branch in Mullingar said: “We at the Hibernian branch in Mullingar were delighted to receive so many great entries from Westmeath’s budding artists, so it was a really tough job to pick the winner! I would like to thank all those who submitted their entries and congratulate Katie Cribbon whose entry we are proudly displaying in our branch on Dominick Street”.
