Dangerous driving case sent to Circuit Court

A man charged with four counts of dangerous driving has been sent forward to the Circuit Court.

Terence O’Reilly of 22 Rossfield Park, Tallaght was served with a book of evidence by Garda Deirdreann Delaney at the recent sitting of Mullingar District Court.

It’s alleged that on June 6 last year O’Reilly drove the wrong way on the N4 at Monganstown causing a vehicle to swerve and putting the driver at substantial risk of death or serious harm.

At Griffithstown, Kinnegad he is alleged to have driven against the flow of traffic directly into the path of oncoming traffic.

At the old N6 junction at Gallstown, Milltown Pass, hes charged with driving through a checkpoint manned by two uniformed gardaí, causing one to jump out of the way and causing substantial risk to the other.

At New Down, The Downs, his alleged to have driven directly at an official marked Garda jeep, causing the driver to take evasive action.

He is also charged with handling a stolen anvil and saddle.

He was granted legal aid with one junior counsel and will appear before Mullingar Circuit Court, sitting in Tullamore on November 30.
