Mullingar girls are best best friends

Mullingar student Kiera Glennon and Leixlip local Ciara Manifold-Gore have made it through to KISS Magazine’s Clean&Clear Best Best Friends Competition.

Along with four other pairs of hopefuls, these two best friends have to fight tooth and nail to win the competition to be the Best Best Friends. The competition runs until Wednesday October 6 at midnight and if you want to vote for them text KISSBFF5 with your name, age, and address to 53150. Texts only cost 60c, and you can vote as many times as you want.

Kiera Glennon and Ciara Manifold-Gore have a rather unique friendship and don’t even live in the same county. Ciara resided in Mullingar until she was 12, and after she moved to Leixlip, the girls continued to sustain and strengthen their friendship.

Now, Kiera (16 ) and Ciara (17 ), sixth year students of Mullingar Community College and Confey College respectively, have proven that their friendship is unique as they have been hand-picked with four other pairs as finalists. The other eight girls, four pairs, are all Dublin-based.

“They may all have been proven to all have unique friendships also, but they don’t know the trials and tribulations of living two train rides away from their BFF!” says Kiera.

“But that doesn’t stop us from being close though. We have a lot of things in common, we dress alike, think alike, and even act alike...we even share the same name, disregarding the spelling!” she adds.

If successful the girls will win €250 to spend in Swords Pavillion, €200 to spend in chic clothes store Esprit, one year’s free internet courtesy of Vodafone Broadband, a hamper full of Clean&Clear stuff, ideal for teenage skin, and a 10-page spread of the winners modelling together in the December issue of KISS Magazine.

The girls, along with the other BFFs, each have a two-page spread in this month’s issue of KISS Magazine.
