The Mullingar women’s rubgy team are to participate in this Sunday’s Ability 5k Fun Run in Belvedere.
“We’re planning to go out and have a great laugh on the day and raise some money at the same time for people in need” said Alwyn Gibney, a member of the ladies team.
The Ability Fun Run will take place this Sunday, September 19 in Belvedere House and Gardens in Mullingar. The run will start at 11am and registration is from 10am. You can go there and register on the day. Proceeds will go towards developing small businesses for people with disabilities in Burkina Faso in West Africa. There will be music, face-painting, a clown, paint your own pottery and spot prizes for participants.
Registration to participate costs €25, which includes an after-run BBQ. Registration for underage runners is €10. Sponsorship cards are available in Days Bazaar newsagents in Mullingar.
