Curfew after threatening behaviour

A Mullingar man before the court on public order charges may face further, more serious charges Mullingar District Court recently heard.

Mark Donoghue of 29 Cathedral View is charged with drunkenness and threatening behaviour at the Canal Line on August 28 this year.

Detective Garda Vincent Hogan requested a number of bail conditions, including that he stay away from the Grange, Raithín area of Mullingar, and have no contact whatsoever with a named woman.

He is to sign on twice a week at Mullingar Garda Station and obey a curfew between 10pm and 7am.

Donoghue undertook in the witness box to adhere to the bail conditions and he was released on bail to October 14.

Legal aid was assigned to his solicitor Patricia Cronin on the basis that he is not working and has no assets.
