Fashion Extravaganza postponed until October

Due to an overwhelming interest in FashionAid’s Fashion Extravaganza the event has been postponed until October.

Fashion Extravaganza was organised to raise funds for those affected by the recent devastating floods in Pakistan. The event was scheduled to take place in Mullingar Arts Centre on Saturday September 4 but has been postponed due to a large number of entertainers and volunteers wanting to get involved on the night.

The organisers of the show have now decided to postpone it until October in order to give everyone an opportunity to get involved in raising funds for flood victims in Pakistan.

Speaking to the Advertiser, secretary of the Irish Friends of Pakistan, Rashid Butt said, “In this way all those who were keen to participate, but were committe elsewhere this weekend, could be accommodated.”

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime if anyone would like to donate for the relief fund please make donations to bank account number: 3317 9063, sort code: 93 21 75, (AIB Mullingar ).”

Mr Butt will be travelling to Pakistan this Sunday to carry out relief work in the flood hit areas of Southern Punjab.
