Cllr Robert Troy has welcomed the news that extension and refurbishment projects are to be approved for Loreto College in Mullingar.
The extension, comprising general and specialised classroom accommodation plus a PE hall, will be approximately 2,100 sq m in size.
“I am delighted to receive confirmation that the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills, Mary Coughlan, will this week issue a letter to the board of management of Loreto College approving stage 2B for the proposed extension and refurbishment of the school,” said Cllr Troy.
“This is brilliant news for all concerned - the staff, parents, and students - and most welcome as we start the new school term. I know that a lot of people have worked hard to bring this to where it is today and they have to be congratulated for the time and effort they put in.”
