Westmeath County Council is delighted to announce that film The Lotus Eaters was part-filmed in Coole, Co Westmeath last week.
As part of Westmeath County Council’s film commission initiative, the local authority is trying to encourage film companies to shoot on location in the county.
Westmeath is a county which boasts a very unique landscape, good road and rail infrastructure, and plenty of enthusiasm for hosting film productions.
Written and directed by Alexandra McGuinness, The Lotus Eaters is set amongst the limitless privilege of the bright young things of contemporary London.
The film was shot on location in Turbotstown House, Coole and other locations in north Westmeath.
