Local band Dillon and the Deadbeats launch debut EP

This Saturday August 7 SuperKidd Promotions will host an open stage night in The Stables, Mullingar. The recent success of the SuperKidd Promotions open mic nights has encouraged this night and local band Dillon and the Deadbeats will be this month’s featured band.

Dillon and the Deadbeats are a new Mullingar band comprising Dillon de Bois on vocals and guitar, Darragh J Glennon on bass, and Amy Quirke on drums. Since their formation, they have been writing and performing their hard pop genre throughout the first half of this year and are eager to be launching their EP this weekend.

Since Dillon de Bois’ return from London, the group have racked up an impressive collection of songs quoted as being “…roundabout reflections on the experiences of twenty-somethings trying to do things their way”.

After impressing the town with their last performance, acoustic duo Two-Man Gang will be making their return to The Stables for the open stage night. They promise to bring their energy and musical ferocity to their home town. The night will also showcase the first ever Mullingar appearance of pop-rockers The Last Partizan (featuring local Niall Barrett on drums ). And as always SuperKidd Promotions have a surprise act up their sleeve.

New artists are welcome to perform on the night but are recommended to call in advance to book a slot to avoid disappointment.

SuperKidd Promotions promise a night of great new music at an equally great price. Doors open at 9.30pm.
