Mullingar town councillor and Westmeath county councillor Ken Glynn launched his new website, www.kenglynn.ie, on Monday night with the aim of reaching out to all sectors of the community.
According to Cllr Glynn, the thinking behind the site is to link to internet users and provide more accessibility to the electorate. As his office, now open 10 years, is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Ken felt that many working people, students, and families could achieve easier access to his services as a councillor outside the 9-5 boundaries, by bringing his services into their homes and workplaces via the internet.
This site will prove to be full of practical and useful information ranging from topical news issues including road safety and awareness to entitlements such as Family Income Supplement, as well as acting as a forum for people’s viewpoints. Ken also expects that through public interaction on this site, there will be a growth in understanding of public issues, by offering an open arena for people to discuss their concerns.
