A Mullingar man is to be sent forward for trial for threatening to kill or seriously harm a garda.
Michael McDonagh (26 ) of 197 Dalton Park is charged with the offence alleged to have taken place at Dalton Park on July 31 2009 and relates to threats made to Garda Alan Clerkin and others.
There was some confusion about whether McDonagh was in custody and would need to be sent for or if he was at liberty.
When it emerged that his five day sentence had ended on May 19 at the latest, and he was not in court, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
The judge ordered that his €5,000 bail be forfeited to the State. This included €2,500 which had been lodged in cash.
