A Mullingar man has been charged with getting people to donate to a bogus charity event.
Jonathan Bardon of 119 Dalton Park is alleged to have committed the offences last autumn and there are 13 charges before the court.
Prosecuting garda Eric Naughton said the 28 year old made no reply when he charged him with the offences which relate to 13 different named people.
The amounts involved range between €5 and €20.
The case was adjourned to October 14.
