Eoin Stephen is awarded Carl Berkeley Memorial Award

Eoin Stephens has been acknowledged for his incredible work in the field of counselling and psychotherapy. Last weekend, at the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP ) AGM, he was awarded the Carl Berkeley Memorial Award. As one of Ireland’s foremost experts in the field of counselling and psychotherapy he used the opportunity to acknowledge the great work being done within the profession and to highlight the need for change. Today more than ever, people have stresses and strains in their lives that can be alleviated through talking with a trained professional.

Eoin is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who has worked in the area of mental health and psychotherapy for more than 25 years. He is currently president of PCI College, one of Ireland’s leading providers of counselling and psychotherapy education, and a director of CBT Solutions therapy centre in Clondalkin. New IACP cathaoirleach, Ray Henry, explained that The Carl Berkeley Memorial Award aims to honour a person with an outstanding service contribution to the professions of counselling and psychotherapy and to the counselling and psychotherapy community.

Eoin has had a far-reaching influence in the education and training of counselling and psychotherapy students as president of PCI College.
