Bench warrant after defendant is a no-show

“I think I may well be on my own,” solicitor Patricia Cronin told Mullingar District Court, when her client who faces serious drugs charges was not in court.

Nathan Paget, who has an address at Dolphin House, Dolphin’s Barn in Dublin is charged with three offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The most serious is a charge of possessing more than €13,000 heroin for sale or supply which on conviction in the Circuit Court earns a minimum jail term of 10 years.

The incident is alleged to have taken place at Austin Friar Street on March 23 last year.

Noting the seriousness of the charges, Inspector Kieran Keyes requested a bench warrant for the arrest of the 26-year-old.
