Glasson Hotel and the members of Glasson Golf Club are delighted to announce they are hosting a St Patrick’s Day charity fundraiser, and this year all proceeds will go to support the work of the Midlands Simon Community and their efforts to end homelessness right across the region.
The competition on St Patrick’s Day is a four-person team event and is open to all. At a cost of only €140 per team, it is an excellent opportunity to play on one of the finest golf courses in Ireland and to support those in our community who are experiencing homelessness.
There are some unique prizes to be won on the day, with the top three teams winning tickets to attend both days of the JP McManus Invitational Pro-am to be held in the Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort on July 5 and 6. Many of Ireland’s and the world’s top golfers are scheduled to play.
Entry to the St. Patrick’s Day competition at Glasson is now open; simply contact the hotel reception on (090 ) 6485120 to book your tee-time.
There are some super deals in the Glasson Hotel for anyone who wants to make a night of it - a special bed & breakfast rate of €40 per person sharing is on offer for anyone playing on the day.
The competition is being organised and run by the members of Glasson Golf Club. “Glasson have had the pleasure of working with the Midlands Simon Community in the past...We are delighted to be able to support this worthwhile cause,” said Tom Reid, who has donated the use of the course for the event.
CEO of Midlands Simon, Tony O’Riordan, added; “On behalf of Midlands Simon Community, and all the people we are working with, I would like to say a huge thank you to Tom and Breda Reid, and everyone in the Glasson Hotel, lady captain Loyola, captain James, Tommy McArdle, Joe Spollen, and all the members of Glasson Golf Club for their simply fantastic support. Without the type of support and goodwill we have received from everyone in Glasson we simply could not survive.”
