Two sisters have been barred from entering any shops in Mullingar as they face charges of criminal damage Mullingar District Court heard.
Sabrina and Geraldine Joyce are both from Farnagh in Moate, but Geraldine now lives at 8 Elm View, Patrick Street, Mullingar.
They are charged with damaging a tracksuit.
The court heard that when charged, Sabrina replied “I’m sorry, I’m totally sorry,” while her sister was also apologetic, saying “I’m sorry for damaging the tracksuit”.
Inspector Jarlath Folan said there will be further charges against them as another matter is under investigation.
The case was adjourned to April 22 but the judge warned that if they breach the condition banning them from all retail outlets in the town, they could see their bail revoked.
