Judge warns men to keep out of Westmeath

Two men have been barred from entering Westmeath after they were charged with trespassing on the Imperial Tobacco Factory premises intending to commit an offence.

Martin Maughan of 1 Sillogue Green, Ballymun, Co Dublin and John Gavin of Bay 9 St Margaret’s Park, also in Ballymun are both charged with the offence alleged to have been committed on January 30 this year.

“It involves a local factory,” said Judge John Neilan.

“It’s a very important industry to the people of Mullingar, the management, and its employees,” he said, adjourning the cases to April 23 and warning the 19- and-18-year-old to stay out of Westmeath except for court appearances.
