Stars Of Our Bars talent competition is continuing in Berty's Bar at the Annebrook House Hotel every Friday night to packed audiences and runs for another six weeks.
Applications are still very welcome – so if you think you’ve got what it takes to go all the way then enter today – application forms available online at www.annebrook.ie, or by calling into the hotel reception or bar. There is no entry fee. The VFI is promoting this national competition and there is an overall prize fund of €50,000 sponsored by Smithwick’s. The winner of the grand final will go forward to the county final stage where the prize money for the winner is €1,000 and second and third prizes will be given. Additionally the prize money for the national winner is €7,500, €2,500 for second place, and €1,000 for third. This talent competition is a national event and is run in association with the VFI.
The competition is being run in three stages comprising five heats, two semi-final nights, and a grand final. This is a talent competition and not just a singing competition and is open to all types of acts. All acts will be given a five minute slot to impress!
Two winners from each heat will be chosen: one selected by judges and the other selected by the audience. This is where your friends and supporters get the chance to shine themselves - all audience members will be given a voting card each night so the stronger the contestant’s support, the greater their chances of qualifying.
The winner of the semi-final and the final night will be chosen by the audience members alone. So once again the stronger your support the more your chances of qualifying to go forward into the national heats.
