It was a night of launches on Tuesday evening as Mullingar Chamber launched its 2010 networking events and Midlands Radio 3 launched its new look studios in the Harbour Place Shopping Centre in Mullingar.
Chamber members got the opportunity to put many faces to names, from other local businesses to well-known Midlands Radio 3 presenters such as Will Faulkner and Clara Walsh.
In a packed studio, local businesses got advice and insight into Midlands Radio 3’s business strategy from MD Albert Fitzgerald. Mr Fitzgerald noted that like other local businesses, Midlands Radio 3 had to come up with different ways of selling its products and services and as a result of this they are very much looking forwards and building their business, which employs almost 40 people in the midlands area.
Commenting after the event, president of Mullingar Chamber Paul O’Brennan said; “We would like to thank Midlands Radio 3 for hosting our first networking event for 2010 and look forward to their broadcasts from the Mullingar studio. We are delighted to have them as a presence in the town and hope that this will help to increase the exposure of the town to surrounding counties”.
