A Mullingar man has lost his licence for three years after pleading guilty to drink driving.
Andrejs Dobrecous of 17 The Barge, Market Point was observed by gardaí when they saw his car stalled on top of a roundabout on Pearse Street shortly before 1am on October 26 this year.
The vehicle stalled despite several attempts to drive it on.
Mr Dobrecous returned a breath alcohol reading of 84mg/100ml when tested at Mullingar Garda Station. He has no previous convictions and told the court the disqualification would affect his work.
He was also fined €750.
