A Mullingar man has been charged with assaulting a man with a machete, causing him harm.
Carl Quinn of 9 Derravaragh Court, Mullingar was ordered not to have any contact with his alleged victim while out on bail.
The 21-year-old is charged with striking the man on the hand with a machete in the course of a dispute, and with producing during a dispute a weapon likely to cause serious injury. The incident is alleged to have taken place on May 9 at Derravaragh Mews in the town.
