This Saturday October 24 sees The Stables host the latest installment of SuperKidd Promotions’ all ages gigs, with a line up of some of Ireland’s most highly sought-after acts in addition to some of Mullingar’s own up and coming talent. Featuring a superb mix of genres from rock to rap and hardcore to pop punk, there's something for everyone.
Headlining the gig will be Dublin outfit Blue Syndrome as they tour the country in support of the release of their debut album Over & Out which is released on October 23.
Lending support will be Limerick's The Demise who have supported the likes of Taking Back Sunday and Rise Against in Dublin and Belfast this year to sell-out crowds, and have cemented themselves as one of Ireland's premier punk acts. Also playing will be rock/emo act Paper Tank who recently released their EP It's a Boy, and rapper Weirdz whose brand of hip hop has seen him compared to Dr Dre and Jay-Z (before Beyonce stuck her nose in ).
In addition, Mullingar provides three acts on the day to show the local music scene is alive and well. Featuring members of one of Mullingar's most popular acts, Decipher, Ricotta return to The Stables stage aiming to emerge from Decipher's shadow and showcase their new sound. Ever This Day were previously seen headlining SuperKidd Promotions ‘New Bands Showcase’ in July where they went down a storm and highlighted why they are regarded as the hottest property in Mullingar music. Completing Mullingar's offering is acoustic act Jen Something. This young songstress made her gig debut earlier this year and has been writing and performing her own material since then.
Doors for the show open at 2pm so pop down for the finest in Saturday afternoon entertainment.
