A provisional liquidator has been appointed to the Athlone and Dublin-based telelecommunications company, Babcock Networks.
Babcock Networks, which employs 64 people between its offices in Blyry Industrial Estate, Athlone and Ballymount, Dublin, went into provisional liquidation following a High Court Order earlier this week.
It is thought that Ken Fennell, of provisional liquidator Kavanagh Fennell, is planning to sell the business as a going concern.
The majority of the staff who work out of the Athlone and Dublin offices are field-based engineers.
The company is primarily involved in the construction and installation of telecommunications equipment, and provides services to phone manufacturers including Ericsson, Nokia and Motorola.
