Businesses from all over Offaly and Westmeath came together on Monday this week to participate in the second annual Midlands Business-to-Business Speed Networking event in the Tullamore Court Hotel.
The event attracted businesses from right across the Midlands, some of which had not been to a networking event before but left pleased with the number of contacts made.
This speed networking event was a joint venture between Offaly and Westmeath Enterprise Boards, and the Athlone, Tullamore and District, Mullingar, and Midlands Gateway Chambers.
The organisers were delighted with the attendance of 80 business owners and managers who came from business sectors such as IT, financial, printing, and manufacturing. This high turnout demonstrates the importance businesses now place on networking as part of their marketing strategy.
Feedback from the event’s participants was very positive, with some very good business leads being made. Some comments from participants included “Very well organised and an excellent way of meeting new and potential business people”; “Would attend same event again – of great benefit”.
