The Irish Entertainment Awards come to Athlone on Monday October 19 for what is expected to be the biggest concert of the year in the Midlands. The Mayor of Athlone, Mark Cooney will be presenting the International Hall of Fame Award to legendary showband star Dickie Rock.
Dickie has been in the music business since the 60s, including a performance on Eurovision in 1964 where he represented Ireland with the song ‘I Still Love You’. He remains one of the top artists in his genre and no doubt will draw crowds to the Radisson on Monday October 19 for the Irish Entertainment Awards. Other guests on the night include Mike Denver, Paul Harrington, The Ravens, The Lols, Paddy Cole, and much more. There will also be a few surprises on the night.
MCs on the night are Ronan Collins and Joe Cooney.
