Man (25) dies following Ballynacargy crash

A 25-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision at Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath.

The single vehicle incident occurred shortly after 6am on Saturday morning last, when the car crashed into a wall at Balroe, outside Ballynacargy village.

The car’s 25-year-old male occupant was injured in the incident and was brought to Mullingar General Hospital. He was subsequently transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he was pronounced dead after 4pm on Tuesday this week.

Gardai at Ballynacargy confirmed yesterday that no witnesses have come forward to the single car collision.
