Garrycastle GAA enhance club infrastructure with formal opening of purpose built gym

Garrycastle GAA has enhanced its club infrastructure with the recent opening of a purpose built gym.

Membership of the gym is now available to all members of the club over 16 years of age with full details of how to apply for gym membership available on the club website https://garrycastle.gaa.ie/ and on all the club’s social media platforms.

Club Officers

At a recent club meeting, the following club officers were ratified for this year. Alan Hanniffy takes on the mantle of club secretary, Philomena Mulvihill is appointed to be the club designated person and Frankie Keena takes on the role of club alcohol and substance abuse programme officer. Congratulations to all and the best of luck with your new roles!

Garrycastle Nursery

Join the excitement as the club nursery springs back to life on Sunday, February 25! The club will welcome boys and girls born in 2020, 2019 and 2018 (under 6 ), at the new timeslot of 10am to 11am on the all-weather astro-turf pitch. Congratulations to Aaron Keegan, Andrew Henson, James McHugh and Oisin Mulvihill who have been selected on the county under-17 panel.

Adult Men

Great to see big numbers at training and in gym ahead of upcoming leagues. The Division 2 league kicks off this year with an away match in Tubberclair on Friday the 23rd. And we send Best wishes to Andrew Ruane from all the lads and club - we’re all thinking of you Andrew and hope to see you back soon.

Mothers & Others

Dust off the boots as Mothers & Others returns on Tuesday, February, 20, at 8pm on the astro-turf pitch. The club passes on best wishes to Philly Fuery as she embarks on her rehabilitation. Philly’s family have launched an iDonate page to support her and Spinal Injuries Ireland with full details on the club social accounts.
