Prominent local landscape artist, Anna Boles, has raised €2020 for the South Westmeath Hospice from the sales of her 2024 calendar.

A personal annual fundraising initiative, Anna donates 25 percent from the sales of her popular calendars towards a local charity with the South Westmeath Hospice being a worthy beneficiary.

Speaking to the Athlone Advertiser this week, Anna commended all those who purchased a 2022 calendar and helped contribute to such a worthy cause.

“This is my seventh year to publish my art calendars which in total have raised over €12,000 for local charities here in Athlone.

“I would like to express my gratitude to all the local businesses who stocked and sold my calendars once again this year.

“Also, much appreciation is afforded to the businesses who sponsored the calendar this year and of course the greatest thanks of all goes to all those who purchased an art calendar. Your support is truly appreciated and none of this would be possible without your continuing generosity,” Anna stated.

Anna will make the cheque presentation to Clare Lennon, chairperson, South Westmeath Hostice today (Thursday, February 8 ).
