Six Midlands artists to host Christmas art exhibition in Fernhill Garden Centre

Six artists who live and work in the Midlands region will this week bring their Christmas 2023 art exhibition to the Gallery Room in the Savoury Fare Restaurant at Fernhill Garden Centre, Athlone.

The artists involved are Rosemarie Langtry, Ursula Ledwith, Dee McKiernan, Nessa McMahon, Magdalena Weber and Jessica Wehder. The group has curated an exciting exhibition featuring a variety of subjects and media, ensuring there is something there to delight everyone.

Asked about the inspiration behind this exhibition, the artists explained that, whilst there are some common themes in the work, each artist has drawn inspiration from several aspects of both the real and imagined worlds. The result is an exciting and joyful collection of art.

All of the art on display will be for sale, providing an opportunity for visitors to purchase a beautiful piece of art for their own home or as a unique gift for somebody else. Rosemarie, Ursula, Dee, Nessa, Magdalena and Jessica wish to express their thanks to the management and staff of Savoury Fare and Fernhill Garden Centre for helping to bring this exhibition to the public and for their ongoing support for the arts.

This exciting exhibition in Savoury Fare, Fernhill Garden Centre, Ballymahon Road, Athlone, commences tomorrow, Friday, December 15 and will run until the end of January 2024.

This is a free event and all are welcome.
