Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union is delighted to announce the launch of its Community Support Fund for 2024.
As a local, member owned co-operative, Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union has a strong commitment to supporting our local community. This commitment is affirmed not only by the credit union’s willingness to provide loan funding to local community groups, but also by providing donations to a wide range of community, cultural, charity, and sports groups to help fund their activities.
Local community groups in the Athlone and Castlerea are now invited to apply for funding to assist with worthwhile projects that benefit the local community.

So, we are delighted to now announce the launch of the community support fund, the fund allows us to continue to support the development of worthwhile projects to the benefit of our members and the local community in which we live and work,” Michael Evans, CEO of Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union, speaking about the Community Support Fund, said
The Community Support Fund 2024 is now open for applications until January 8 2024 to which local community, cultural, charity and sports groups may apply for funding to assist with significant development.
Groups or organisations applying for sponsorship must complete the official application form stating why they should qualify for sponsorship. These application forms can be downloaded from the website www.accu.ie or picked up from any of the three offices in Irishtown, Monksland (Athlone ) or Castlerea.
Completed application forms, together with any supporting documentation, must be returned to [email protected] by January 8 2024.
