Rosemount GAA is one of four County Westmeath clubs which have received Clár funding, local Minister of State, D eputy Peter Burke, has confirmed.
Welcoming the announcement, Deputy Burke, stated that the funding allocated to Rosemount GAA (more than €40,000 ), will go towards the further enhancement of facilities at the South Westmeath club.
“I am really happy to announce that four County Westmeath GAA clubs have been successful in the latest round of Clár Funding confirmed today by my colleague, Deputy Minister Heather Humphreys.
“Significant funding of over €40,000 has been allocated to a range of projects, from toilets to lighting, to playing surfaces which will have a significant impact on the quality of the infrastructure and facilities in the clubs.
“This is another great example of funding going to the heart of our communities where local committees work tirelessly for the betterment of their clubs and communities. I commend the hard-working committees who put the work in on these applications and identify projects that will benefit their members.
“Minister Humphreys was quick to remark on a recent trip to the constituency that she has the funds if we have the projects, and she has delivered on that promise here today. I look forward to seeing the clubs grow and progress with the help of this funding,” Minister Burke said.
Ballycomoyle GAA, Kilbeggan Shamrocks GAA and Multyfarnham GAA were also successful on this occasion with their applications for Clár funding.
