Artists from Shambles Art Studio in Athlone and their Westmeath colleagues have been critically assessing their collected artwork and have decided that a selection “from the back of the studio” should be offered for sale at an affordable price, works which reveal the artists development during their career to date.
On Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19, from 11 am to 4pm, the artists will hold an art sale in the Shambles Art Studios at Aras Brid, Excise Street, Athlone. Original art will be available at affordable prices. Depending on size, medium and framing, each artwork will be offered at one of four prices, €50, €100, €150, or €200.
The works will be presented in an informal setting, allowing you to have a close look at whatever works might interest you. Not only will it be possible to find something you like, you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that a percentage of the proceeds will go to St Vincent de Paul.
So, come along on November 18 and 19 to avail of this unique opportunity to own an original piece of art.
Artists include Catherine Rock, Ann McGuinness, Anne Marie Burke, Lesley Wingfield, Lorraine Mimnagh, Ann Wingfield, Siobhan Cox Carlos and Laurence O’Neill.
